The Grafton Village Nursery
Much of the beauty of Grafton comes from the color supplied by the flowers and plantings of the Grafton Village Nursery. The Nursery is wholly owned and operated by the Windham Foundation and is responsible for planting and tending the gardens and flower boxes throughout Grafton. The nursery tends to the inside plants at the Foundation Offices, Grafton Village Cheese Company and The Old Tavern. It also does beautification work and landscape maintenance for a number of Grafton residents.
The Nursery operates from two greenhouses located on Pleasant Street. In the spring, the two houses are literally fountains of color as the flowers await replanting in window boxes and gardens. Across from the Grafton Village Nursery is the Community Garden. This garden provides a lovely setting for that summer picnic or lunch under the shade trees or arbor.
